Crissi Miller
Veterinarian
Dr. Miller was born in Gainesville—not Gainesville, Texas, but Gainesville, Georgia. However, she spent most of her childhood on the beaches of Perdido Key, Florida, where she helped her family run a marina. Her first job was as a gas dock attendant and first mate on her father's fishing boats, a far cry from where she is today.
Always determined to become a veterinarian, Dr. Miller’s journey took a turn when her father insisted she attend Texas A&M University. To support her education, he moved the family to Texas while she was still in high school.
Dr. Miller earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1991, followed by a degree in Veterinary Science in 1993, and finally her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1995—all from Texas A&M.
She has owned horses since she was thirteen and began her veterinary career in a mixed animal practice, treating both equine and small animals. While she no longer routinely practices equine medicine, she still keeps a few horses at home.
