Jennifer Garretson

Dr. Jennifer Garretson is a north Texas native. She attended what is now Texas A&M University- Commerce for her undergraduate work in animal science. She then graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Garretson is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine; however she is particularly passionate about feline and exotic animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Garretson co-founded GeoHerps, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and conservation of reptiles and amphibians. In her spare time, Dr. Garretson enjoys trail riding with her mammoth donkeys and hiking with her 2 Border Terriers, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Lady Bird Johnson. Dr. Garretson and her husband, Stephen have 3 sons, 2 of which are Eagle Scouts and the 3rd is currently working towards his Eagle Scout rank. In addition to 2 dogs, the Garretson family also consists of 4 donkeys, 8 cats, 2 snakes and a bee hive.
